Major engine Service November 2020

Both engines have been serviced in the fall of 2020 including:

New head gaskets

Valve Adjustment

1 Injector replaced starboard, 2 injectors replaced port, all other injectors serviced

Heat exchangers cleaned

Aftercoolers serviced and cleaned

New impellers

New impeller in generator

This work was performed after a sea trial where both engines ran very well, but the temperatures settled out around 195 degrees at wide open throttle, a little warm side but not enough to set off alarms. Engine mechanic claimed to see slight coolant leak from head gaskets, though the subsequent service failed to find evidence of faulty gaskets. Decision was made to replace both gaskets to eliminate any questions. Engine oil, transmission oil and coolant samples from engines and generator tested good.  

 

NEW Canvas

The old flybridge enclosure shown in video and pics was destroyed in a Fall storm. The bimini has been replaced with new canvas October 2020.
