The Presto 30 is a transportable sharpie inspired boat designed by Roger Martin and built by Ryder Boatworks in Maine. The design was selected by Cruising World and Sail Magazines as 2011 "Boat of the Year". It is fast and easy to sail with twin carbon wishbone rigs. It is a perfect boat for someone who wants to be able to trailer sail to just about anywhere and then have a really well built, fun boat to sail. It is also possible to forego boat yards and launching fees since the boat can be stored at your house and launched off virtually any ramp. With its lifting keel it can also easily be stored on a boat lift.
The hull has Corecell A500 core material with vinylester infused bi-axial fabric on deck and kevlar reinforced bottom. All hardware has a high density core reinforcement.
The free-standing carbon masts have aluminum wishbones. Square-top sails are fully battened.
Dragonfly has been very lightly used and lift kept in the Chesapeake Bay. Boat is currently in long term storage on a trailer in a barn under tarps with masts down.
Showings by appointment only. Purchasers should note that the owner will allow an on land survey of the boat but seatrials are not permitted.
