The story of the restoration of Invader is as extraordinary as the yacht herself. Designed by the nephew of the great Nathaniel G. Herreshoff, and one of his many disciples, Invader shows all the signs of the great designs of “The wizard of Bristol”. With her nearly 87ft of main boom and 40ft of bowsprit, her dimensions are extraordinary, as is her performance in light winds. As with all these great yachts, her history is a mixture of triumphs, disasters, film stars, glamour, and neglect. Now, after a period of very little use following the demise of her latest owner, the heirs are very keen to move this masterpiece on, and have consequently priced her at a very sensible level. For an owner who wishes to have one of the great classic yachts of the world, in a very little used condition, and with a great racing and cruising future ahead of her, Invader would be an obvious choice.
Invader has an immense history behind it and is an iconic sailing yacht that has been refitted to the highest standards keeping its grace and beauty intact. 
With 3 spacious cabins, all have been refitted following religiously the original fittings, riggings and fixtures of the boat with the latest materials and advanced systems. The last refits were done in 2003, 2019 and 2020.
She is truly a unique sailing vessel that will appeal to those owners wishing to have a real contact with the sea, to experience the real joy of sailing.

L'histoire de la restauration d'Invader est aussi extraordinaire que le yacht lui-même. Conçu par le neveu du grand Nathaniel G. Avec sa bôme principale de près de 87 pieds et son beaupré de 40 pieds, ses dimensions sont extraordinaires, tout comme ses performances par petit temps. Comme pour tous ces grands yachts, son histoire est un mélange de triomphes, de désastres, de stars de cinéma, de glamour et de négligence. Aujourd'hui, après une période de très faible utilisation suite au décès de son dernier propriétaire, les héritiers sont très désireux de donner une nouvelle vie à ce chef-d'œuvre et ont donc fixé son prix à un niveau très raisonnable. Pour un propriétaire qui souhaite avoir l'un des grands yachts classiques du monde, très peu utilisé, et avec un bel avenir de course et de croisière devant lui, Invader serait un choix évident.
Invader a une histoire immense derrière lui, c'est un voilier emblématique qui a été réaménagé selon les normes les plus strictes en conservant sa grâce et sa beauté intactes. Les 3 cabines spacieuses ont toutes été réaménagées en suivant religieusement les aménagements d'origine, les gréements et les agencements du bateau avec les derniers matériaux et systèmes avancés. Les derniers refit ont été réalisés en 2003, 2019 et 2020.
Il s'agit d'un voilier unique qui plaira aux propriétaires désireux d'avoir un véritable contact avec la mer et de goûter aux joies de la voile.
